SCHNECKSVILLE, PA., June 3, 2025—Sustainable Energy Fund (SEF) has announced the Family Promise of Carbon County as the Nonprofit Energy Makeover Contest winner. The Contest will award Family Promise of Carbon County an energy efficiency upgrade at no cost to the organization.
“This opportunity represents a meaningful step forward in our mission to support families in need while promoting environmental stewardship and sustainability. As an organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of those we serve, we recognize the importance of energy efficiency and sustainable practices in fostering a healthy and vibrant community,” said Cathy Lamm, Executive Director of the Family Promise of Carbon County.
Family Promise of Carbon County is a public charity whose mission is to help families experiencing homelessness and low-income families achieve sustainable independence by providing temporary shelter, meals, and support services in order to meet the basic needs of families without permanent housing in Carbon County and the surrounding communities.
“The energy makeover will not only enhance our ability to operate more effectively but also reduce our environmental impact, aligning with our commitment to fostering a brighter future for the families we support. We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Sustainable Energy Fund for recognizing the potential of Family Promise of Carbon County and investing in our organization. This initiative will enable us to allocate more resources towards our programs and services, ultimately making a greater impact in the lives of the families who rely on us. We are inspired by this partnership and look forward to working together to create a positive and lasting impact on our community and the environment. Thank you for helping us bring our vision of energy efficiency and sustainability to life,” Lamm said.
SEF is looking for community members and businesses to help make this makeover possible. To learn more about the makeover or if you are interested in assisting with the upgrades, please get in touch with the Sustainable Energy Fund office at 610-264-4440.
