Education & Outreach Internship (Paid)
Reports To: Vice President of Outreach & Education

Job Summary
Regenerative Energy Initiative (Regen) is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented intern to support outreach and education initiatives advancing Regen’s mission. The intern will join our multidisciplinary team and assist with planning and implementing educational programs and events, including support for Regen’s programming at our Net Zero Energy building and other community engagement initiatives.
The primary focus of this role will be creating program and outreach plans for Regen’s Net Zero Energy building tour and field trip initiative.
Essential Job Functions
The intern will support staff in the following areas:
- Assist in creating and expanding program plans for the Net Zero Energy building
- Collaborate with staff to develop hands-on educational activities and materials
- Conduct research to support educational initiatives and outreach programs
- Assist with marketing, communications, and program evaluation efforts
- Support staff during public events, workshops, and community activities
- Attend and participate in Regen staff meetings and external partner/client meetings
- Represent the organization in a positive, professional, and energetic manner
- Complete additional duties as assigned to support organizational priorities
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a college degree
- Interest in nonprofit, education, marketing, sustainable energy, and/or event planning
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, with a high level of professionalism
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Valid driver’s license required
This is an in-office position. This is a part-time position during the school year. If the candidate is available during the summer, the internship could extend to full time during the summer.
