SCHNECKSVILLE, Pa. (May 10, 2025) — Sustainable Energy Fund (SEF) held the 2025 Energypath Science Fair at the Net Zero Energy Building and announced prize winners for middle and high school projects.
Over 20 projects from around the Mid-Atlantic region came together to showcase student projects and provoke conversations about energy.
SEF announced Ayush Jalani from Parkland High School as the first-place winner in the high school division for his project “Harnessing Electricity from Microbes: A Step Towards a Cleaner Future.” Saanvi Uppalapati from Langley High School in Virginia placed second for her project “Unsustainable AI Energy Demands Meet Solar Surge Prediction.” Ian Lentz from Camp Hill High School placed third for his project “Livestock’s Key To Ending Emissions.”
Charlotte Peters from Holy Name of Jesus School claimed first place in the middle school division with her project “To Save The Planet.” Fayzaan Jali from Moravian Academy Middle School took second place with her project “The Challenge To Make Electric Cars More Efficient By Adding And Testing Different Gear Ratios.” Wyatt Lentz from Camp Hill Middle School placed third with his project “Tire’d Graveyard: Filtering Artificial Turf Runoff From Streams.”
“The projects were amazing”, stated John Costlow, SEF’s CEO. “Based on the projects, we are in great hands with the next generation.”
