Cumberland County Passes Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy (C-PACE) Resolution

CARLISLE, P.A., August 29, 2024 – On August 29, Cumberland County Commissioners approved a resolution enabling a Cumberland County Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy (C-PACE) program. The Commissioners approved C-PACE to help commercial, industrial, nonprofit, and agricultural property owners with energy and water conservation projects.

Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy (C-PACE) is a financial tool for commercial property owners to obtain low-cost, long-term financing for energy efficiency, renewable energy, water conservation, indoor air quality, and resiliency projects.

Sustainable Energy Fund administers C-PACE financing for Cumberland County and over twenty other Pennsylvania counties. “Sustainable Energy Fund is looking forward to using our experience in clean energy lending and C-PACE administration to advance projects that will improve indoor air quality, energy and water conservation, and resiliency. This expansion will add to the community-level investment C-PACE funding has already contributed across the Commonwealth,” said John Costlow, President of SEF.
