SCHNECKSVILLE, PA., September 4, 2024 – Sustainable Energy Fund (SEF) is proud to announce the launch of the Nonprofit Energy Makeover Contest. This program will award a major energy efficiency building retrofit to a winning nonprofit organization in Central or Northeastern Pennsylvania at no cost to the nonprofit.
The winning nonprofit organization, chosen for its inefficient building and for the good it does for the community, will produce dramatic energy savings. The money saved from high electric bills can instead be directed towards furthering the nonprofit’s mission. The main goal of the Makeover Contest is to promote energy efficiency and assist energy users in overcoming educational and financial barriers to a sustainable energy future.
“Sustainable Energy Fund is looking forward to rewarding a deserving nonprofit with a full energy upgrade at no cost to them,” said John Costlow, president and CEO of Sustainable Energy Fund. “We are excited to launch this program and bring more energy awareness to Northeastern and Central Pennsylvania.”
Sustainable Energy Fund is currently accepting applications from nonprofit organizations located in the PPL service area. To enter, nonprofit organizations can visit www.nonprofitenergymakeover.org. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis until January 1, 2025.
