Regenerative Energy Initiative Announces Three Finalists for their 4th Nonprofit Energy Makeover Contest
SCHNECKSVILLE, PA., July 26 – Regenerative Energy Initiative is proud to announce the three finalists selected for its 4th Nonprofit Energy Makeover Contest, an initiative that helps Pennsylvania nonprofits reduce energy usage so they can invest more resources into the people and communities they serve.
Selected from organizations across Eastern Pennsylvania, this year’s finalists are, in no particular order:
Each organization demonstrates an extraordinary commitment to strengthening its community while operating facilities that could benefit from energy efficiency improvements.
Over the coming weeks, Regenerative Energy Initiative’s technical team will conduct comprehensive Level II energy assessments at each finalist’s facility. These assessments will identify opportunities to improve building performance, reduce operating expenses and enhance long-term sustainability. The findings will help determine which organization will receive the 2026 Nonprofit Energy Makeover in energy upgrades.
“Nonprofits work tirelessly to strengthen our communities, but rising operating costs often limit the resources they can dedicate to their mission,” said John Costlow, President and CEO of Regenerative Energy Initiative. “Every dollar saved on energy is another dollar that can be invested in people, programs and community impact. We’re excited to work with these outstanding organizations and help one of them unlock the benefits of a more energy efficient facility.”
Regenerative Energy Initiative’s Nonprofit Energy Makeover Contest recognizes organizations whose missions create meaningful community impact while highlighting the important role energy efficiency can play in expanding that impact. Through professional energy assessments and building improvements, the program helps nonprofits redirect money normally spent on utility costs toward the services that matter most.
The winning organization will be announced later this summer following completion of the energy assessments.

Community Bike Works
Community Bike Works is an Allentown based nonprofit that empowers youth through bicycle repair, cycling and mentorship programs. Participants build confidence, leadership, teamwork and life skills while earning refurbished bicycles and connecting with positive adult mentors.
Boys & Girls Club of Harrisburg
Boys & Girls Club of Harrisburg provides youth with academic enrichment, mentoring and engaging educational opportunities through programs like Summer Brain Gain, helping students build reading, math, STEM and social-emotional skills during the summer months.
Ripple Community Inc.
Ripple Community Inc., based in Allentown, fosters connection and belonging by supporting neighbors through community building programs, social support and relationship-centered services that strengthen individuals and neighborhoods.
