PITTSBURGH, PA., May 6, 2025 – On April 25, 2025, a new construction retroactive project for The Buncher Company became the latest project approved for Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy (C-PACE) financing in Allegheny County.
The $10.1 million in financing will be used to install energy conservation measures (ECMs) for the building envelope, lighting systems, HVAC systems, and elevators. Annually, this project is expected to save 307,009 kWh of electricity, valued at $34,569.
“We commend the development team for prioritizing energy efficiency, resiliency, and environmental stewardship as key elements and values of their project. Projects like this exemplify the County’s commitment to sustainable economic growth and how public and private partners can work together to build a greener, more sustainable future for all residents and businesses in our region. We appreciate the Sustainable Energy Fund’s continued partnership on this program and remain committed to supporting sustainable growth across Allegheny County through C-PACE,” Lauren Connelly, Director of Allegheny County Economic Development, said.
“C-PACE not only reduces environmental impact, but it is also a great resource for economic development,” said John Costlow, President of Sustainable Energy Fund, the organization administering Allegheny County’s C-PACE program as well as several other programs throughout the state. “SEF looks forward to seeing many more C-PACE projects in Allegheny County and throughout Pennsylvania.”
C-PACE is a financial tool for property owners to obtain low-cost, long-term financing for energy efficiency, renewable energy, indoor air quality, resiliency, and water conservation projects.
