SCHNECKSVILLE, Pa. (July 29, 2026)
Regenerative Energy Initiative is proud to announce that it has been named one of the 2026 Greatest Places to Intern in Pennsylvania by the Pennsylvania Chamber Foundation.
The annual recognition honors organizations that provide exceptional internship experiences through meaningful work, mentorship and professional development, helping prepare Pennsylvania’s future workforce.
Representatives from Regenerative Energy Initiative, including President John Costlow and members of the organization’s internship program, will be recognized during the 2026 Greatest Places to Intern in Pennsylvania Awards Ceremony and press conference in Harrisburg on Thursday, July 30.
At Regenerative Energy Initiative, interns work alongside staff on the organization’s core programs and initiatives, gaining hands-on experience while making meaningful contributions. Recent interns have helped support EnergyPath, the organization’s energy conference and workforce development event, contributed to the Nonprofit Energy Makeover Contest, assisted with energy audits, supported development of an AI-powered water heater application, and participated in marketing, communications, education and community outreach efforts. Rather than observing from the sidelines, interns are entrusted with meaningful work that prepares them for careers in the energy industry and beyond. This hands-on approach gives interns the opportunity to build professional skills while contributing to projects that directly benefit communities across Pennsylvania.
“Our interns are valued members of our team,” said Kelly Sanders, Vice-President of Outreach and Education at Regenerative Energy Initiative. “They bring fresh ideas, curiosity and enthusiasm to every project while gaining hands-on experience that prepares them for future careers. We’re honored that the Pennsylvania Chamber Foundation has recognized our commitment to developing the next generation of professionals.”
Regenerative Energy Initiative believes investing in students and young professionals strengthens both the organization and Pennsylvania’s future workforce. Through mentorship, collaboration and real-world experience, interns are encouraged to develop professionally while making meaningful contributions to the organization’s mission.
The Pennsylvania Chamber Foundation’s Greatest Places to Intern in Pennsylvania program recognizes employers across the Commonwealth that demonstrate excellence in creating enriching internship opportunities for students and emerging professionals.
Regenerative Energy Initiative extends its appreciation to its interns, mentors and staff members who make the internship program a rewarding and impactful experience each year.
