In an effort to more fully live our mission, SEF constructed a Net Zero Building in the Lehigh Valley. One of the main goals of constructing this building was to show Lehigh Valley developers that Net Zero building is possible at market rate. The building is the first Net Zero building in the Lehigh Valley.
The 15,000 sq ft office building, completed early in 2020, is located in Schnecksville, PA. Sustainable Energy Fund occupies a fraction of the space for their headquarters and will lease the remaining office space to other area businesses. If you are interested in leasing a space, please call 610.264.4440 for rates. For a virtual tour of the completed building, scroll down. Project Progress
The SEF Net Zero Energy Building was conceptualized back in 2014 by SEF’s President and Board of Directors. To analyze the potential cost and feasibility of a 15,000 square foot building classified as an NZEB, SEF worked with Re:Vision Architecture, who created a Net Zero Building Feasibility Analysis.
After confirming the feasibility of the project, SEF issued an RFP for a Design Build team. Eventually, TN Ward and Ashley McGraw Architects were brought onto the project and a design and construction plan for the building was created.
On April 4th, 2019, SEF broke ground on the new Net Zero building project. The building has since been completed and SEF is now seeking tenants to fill the remaining space. To see pictures and videos of the construction process, including a virtual tour of the completed building, please see below.
